i've realised the intrinsic value of investing in a good pair of shoes, despite it being at a slightly higher price. not that i think that a more expensive item has a better quality than something cheaper necessarily. but i think there are certain items that we should spend on, while we should exercise control over others.

currently, i'm the proud owner of a pair of nine west pumps. my first from nine west. it cost me about $127 (includ shipping - cos i ordered them online from us)... however, compared to my previous pairs of working shoes, this pair is significantly more comfortable. i only took 2 days to break them in... while for my previous pairs, i had to sitck plasters and what nots to prevent the blisters. also they don't make my feet perspire that much. more than anything, the comfort level is 100%.

so instead of spending about 30 - 40 bucks on a pair of shoes, which look nice, but not really that comfortable, and takes time to break them in, i'd honestly rather spend 100 bucks for a comfortable pair which can last me longer as well. likewise, i think spending slightly more on things like facial products or hair products, is cash which i am willing to part. and food. food is impt. very impt. i think good food cheers a person up immensely. better than material gifts. ^_^
